Begins the schism

Creating the individual

An image, not original

Somewhere in between

A space that’s serene

Surfaces the original

A temporary pinnacle

The individual reappears

Fighting grateful tears

The original again fades

Perhaps for decades

Time will not return

So we may unlearn

The original remains

In eternity, it reigns
