Messengers

While the earth roams the ethers

On a journey of infinite kilometers

We’re here as messengers

Not of the mind and its passengers

We’re the showpiece of existence

Allowed to live without interference

In this corner of the galaxy

To other creatures, we’re majesty

We aren't living up to our credentials

Most are lost in the nonessentials

We are now the caretakers of the earth

Tasked with bringing in innocent mirth

The mighty dinosaurs were asked to depart

Making way for our kind to move in and start

A fresh new beginning, the message isn’t stale

Truth never fails, the rest is fairytale
